BCIS student wins at 2016 World Robotics Competition

barbiehuang2ALEA would like to congratulate Barbie Huang for winning the 2016 World Robotics Competition in her group at the World Robot Competition on October 21-25 in Beijing, China. Barbie Huang is student in class 6A at Buena Vista Concordia International School (BCIS) in Shenzhen, China.

Barbie and her teammates worked hard in the Shenzhen preliminary round of the World Robot Competition and their hard work paid off when they were selected to participate in the finals in Beijing!

During three day final Barbie and her team received full marks and broke the all time record as they won the “Eye of the Universe” project championship. They also won the “VEXIQ Temple Moving” project for the best structure.

Once again, ALEA would like to congratulate Barbie and BCIS on her victory at the World Robot Competition. BCIS was founded by the Lutheran Church Hong Kong Synod and offers an American curriculum to students from age 4 through grade 9.
