Holy Cross Lutheran School in Hong Kong celebrates 45 years
Holy Cross Lutheran School in Tsuen Wan, Hong Kong celebrated its 45th anniversary on January 20, 2017. To help celebrate this milestone, students from Holy Cross designed a mosaic. Principal Luparker Wong and faculty have taken steps to encourage learning and lessen the burden of homework for students by implementing a new schedule at the school.
All intensive courses are taught in the morning and other activities and tutorials are held in the afternoon. Teachers are able to assist students with their homework during the afternoon as many of the students are from lower-income households where their parents are working long hours and unable to assist them with their homework. Principal Wong and her staff believe the new schedule will not only lessen the burden of homework, but increase happiness in the student body.
