New Leadership for ALEA
After serving three years as ALEA Executive Director, Karin Semler has stepped down from the leadership position to focus on family and work opportunities in Shanghai. “I continue to treasure the relationships with Lutheran schools around Asia and look forward to staying active within the ALEA network,” Semler shared. Iantha Scheiwe also recently transitioned from service for two years as ALEA Associate Director to serve as the director of the Concordia Mission Institute, which delivers missionary training workshops for Lutheran Bible Translators and Mission of Christ Network. The ALEA Board of Directors is pleased to announce the selection of its new Executive Director, Danielle Mizel. A new resident of Shanghai, Danielle moved to Asia with her husband, Chris who serves as Family Life Counselor at Concordia International School Shanghai. Danielle is a certified Director of Christian Education with a Masters of Family Life Ministry from Concordia University Nebraska. While living in Missouri, she served in various youth ministry roles, including leading teams to the LCMS national youth gathering, serving as a servant event coordinator, as well as leadership with Teens Encounter Christ.
