Partnership in Training Church Workers

Nic Cass arrived in Hong Kong in September 2014. He and his wife, Danielle, came to serve for two years as missionaries for The Lutheran Church-Hong Kong Synod (LCHKS) through the mission sending agency, Mission Matthew 28 (MM28). Nic also completed an internship for his studies at Concordia University, St. Paul (CSP). To accomplish a portion of this internship for Director of Christian Outreach (DCO), Nic served at Church of All Nations (CAN).

During several weekdays, Nic and Danielle serve at schools of the LCHKS to teach English and Christian studies. The service of English-speaking missionaries like Nic and Danielle helps the LCHKS schools expand their mission and outreach. Nic supported the outreach efforts of Church of All Nations, an LCMS congregation, especially to youth at Hong Kong International School. Nic served for two years and returns to the USA in July following his first call as a DCO.

Nic’s internship allowed for creative partnership between the LCHKS, MM28, CAN, and CSP, and is a model for collaborative training of church workers.
